Friends of the Washington Public Library

The Friends of the Washington Public Library's mission is to support and raise funds for the library. Volunteers are always needed. Please call the library for more information. 636-390-1070.

The Friends meet in January on a date to be determined each year and the third Mondays of April, July, and October at 7:00 PM, unless otherwise changed.

Their next meeting is Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 7 PM in the library's meeting room. Guest author/artist Bryan Haynes will be presenting his new book, "New Regionalism, the Art of Bryan Haynes."

Used books and magazines are available for purchase in the library's front entrance hallway during all hours that the library is open.

Book donations for the annual sale are now being accepted at the library during normal hours of operation until September 13 or at the City Auditorium on Saturday, September 14 from 9 a.m.-Noon and Monday, September 16 from 4-7 p.m.

Hardback and paperback fiction and nonfiction are accepted. We do not accept encyclopedias, textbooks, Reader's Digest Condensed Books, National Geographic magazines or other magazines older than 2 years.  Audio-visual items are also accepted.
