Friends of the Washington Public Library

The Friends of the Washington Public Library's mission is to support and raise funds for the library. Volunteers are always needed. Please call the library for more information. 636-390-1070.

The Friends meet in January on a date to be determined each year and the third Mondays of April, July, and October at 7:00 PM.

Their next meeting is Monday, July 15, 2013 at 7 PM in the library's meeting room. Guest speaker will be announced.

 

Membership

Annual Memberships are available at the Library. The membership year runs from January 1 through December 31. Membership levels are:


$10 Senior Citizen (Individual)
$15 Scribe (Individual)
$25 Family Membership
$25 Wordsmith
$50 Short Story
$100 Novel
$250 Classic
$500 Epic
$1000 Best Seller
$5000+ Bibliophile (Lifetime)

 

Ongoing Book Sale

Used books and magazines are available for purchase in the library's front entrance hallway during all hours that the library is open.

Special 10 cent magazine sale is March 11-24, 2013.

Book donations for the annual sale are now being accepted at the library during normal hours of operation.

Hardback and paperback fiction and nonfiction are accepted. We do not accept encyclopedias, textbooks, Reader's Digest Condensed Books, National Geographic magazines or other magazines older than 2 years.
