Frequently asked questions
There are three ways you can place a hold on a book. Use the online catalog, call the library at (636) 390-1070, or stop by the library and request a book to be put on hold.
Your library card number and bar-code number are the same. They are the ten digit number beneath the bar-code on the back of your card. Do not include the dashes when typing it in to place a reserve, but if your card has nine digits and a plus sign, do include the plus sign when typing in the card number.
Yes, the catalog is now set up to allow online renewals. Please have your library card number available in order to do so. To access your account online, click on 'My Account' on the main page of the card catalog. Enter your library card number from the back of your card, without the dashes. If your card has nine digits and a plus sign, do include the plus sign.
Yes, we appreciate book donations, but we do have restrictions. Donated books are either added to our collection or saved for the Friends of the Library book sale. Money collected from the book sale supports the library. The library does not accept National Geographic magazines, Readers Digest Condensed Books, encyclopedias, or textbooks.
Please see the help icon in the library catalog for detailed searching assistance.
