|The Diary of a Young Girl|

This is a moving collection of actual diary entries written by a vibrant, intelligent thirteen year old girl during WWII. She and her family went into hiding in their Dutch homeland as they knew they would be persecuted for being Jewish. Anne kept her daily diary she endearingly called "Kitty" as a special friend whom she could write to and talk with to reveal her joys, thoughts, feelings and fears. Anne Frank's father, Otto Frank, made public this compilation of most of her diary entries as the diary itself survived WWII. The text includes an introduction by Eleanor Roosevelt. A worthwhile read for anyone interested in history and the importance of world peace.
