Wireless Internet is available at all branches of the library.
To use the wireless Internet, patrons must be signed up to use the Internet and have a valid library card. Persons from outside the library service area (visitors) may receive a guest pass by presenting a valid Driver's License or other form of Photo ID with proof of address.
Connect to the wireless network name (SSID) Scenic. No password or key is required to connect to the network.
Once the connection is established, open a web browser (such as Internet Explorer), and wait for the log-in screen to appear. Read the Scenic Regional Library Acceptable Wireless Network User Agreement and click the Continue to the Internet button to proceed.
The wireless networks at Scenic Regional Library are not encrypted. This means that any traffic sent back and forth between the computer and the Internet could potentially be read by any other person connected to the network. Therefore, Scenic Regional Library recommends that patrons do not use online banking, or visit other sites with highly sensitive personal information, while using our wireless network.
