Library Assistant Floater
Scenic Regional Library is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a 16-22-hour Part Time Library Assistant Floater position.
The Part Time Library Assistant Floater provides coverage to different branches as needed due to absences, such as illness, medical leave, vacation leave, and position vacancies. Greets and assists Library users in the circulation area, performs general circulation routines, assists patrons in locating library materials, as well as other Library Assistant routines. This position may have other responsibilities and duties as assigned. This position will report directly to the Branch Coverage Supervisor.
Candidate must possess a High School diploma or equivalency. Public library experience is preferred. Must be able to work evenings and/or Saturday with short notice as well as be open to a flexible schedule. This position requires reliable transportation. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
Starting wage of $16.71 per hour and paid time off (PTO) earned for hours worked. Mileage for travel between branches will be reimbursed by the library.
Schedule will be on a three-week rotating basis to include:
Week A – Shifts on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
Week B – Shifts on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday
Week C – Shifts on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday
Shifts will include day and evening shifts until 8 PM.

Branch Manager
Scenic Regional Library is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time, Branch Manger’s position at its Union location.
The Branch Manager is responsible for daily operations at the branch including supervising, training, and scheduling staff, providing information and services, and modeling customer service. They ensure that all staff is providing exemplary service to library patrons. The branch manager serves as a liaison between their branch and the community by reaching out to area organizations and promoting the library and its services.
The Union branch is a 17,000 square foot facility, serving a population size of 12,458 with an annual circulation of 115,000 items. This position manages a staff of 4.35 FTE.
Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree, or the equivalent coursework in a related specialized field or two+ years of related experience. Supervisory experience preferred. Public library experience is preferred. Must be willing to work evenings and weekend with the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Salary range of $50,775.81 to $58,392.18 and includes benefits of paid holidays, vacation and sick leave. Employer provides health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, short-term disability and retirement plan.

The branch manager serves as a liaison between their branch and the community by reaching out to area organizations and promoting the library and its services.
The Sullivan branch is a 10,000 square foot facility, serving a population size of 6,855 with an annual circulation of 59,000 items. This position manages a staff of 3.5 FTE.
Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree, or the equivalent coursework in a related specialized field or two+ years of related experience. Supervisory experience preferred. Public library experience is preferred. Must be willing to work evenings and weekend with the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
