Jack London
General Reviews

Jack London was restless.  He attributed his restlessness to a "seeking spirit." Before he was seventeen-years-old, he had been both an oyster pirate and a member of the shore patron tracking down his former workmates. He had been a seal hunter in the Bering Sea, had cleaned and shoveled coal in a saloon, and had ridden the rails across the country only to end up in prison as a vagrant. Between age seventeen and his early death at age forty, he continued to seek new experiences. Those experiences provided material for internationally acclaimed magazine articles, short stories, and novels.

Earle Labor is the acknowledged authority on Jack London and he writes about his favorite subject with sympathy and objectivity. This book is an excellent read!
