Local Author Fair
Union Branch
Saturday, May 2
1:00-4:00 PM
Join us for the library’s first local author fair. Visit with 16 local authors to discuss their writing process and how they got their work published, purchase their books, or get copies of their books signed.
Purchases are cash only.
The fair will feature a wide variety of authors. There will be authors from the library’s three-county district, as well as several from adjoining counties and the St. Louis metro area. There are a couple authors which are self-published, as well as some with larger publishing houses. There will be a few non-fiction authors, but mostly fiction authors. Some of the authors have written several books, while some have only published one. There are authors participating who live in both suburban and rural areas. A few of the authors are college professors. There are a few younger authors, as well as some who are retired.
Visitors can either speak with authors at their tables, or listen to them speak during their scheduled time slot, or both. Each author will be given a 10-minute time slot to speak about themselves and their work. The speaking schedule is:
