Bill Eddleman was a professor of biology at Southeast Missouri State University for 22 years and also served as provost before his retirement in 2016. Long interested in local and regional history, he was the president of the Cape County Genealogical Society for 14 years and edited the society's quarterly publication for 20 years. He started at the State Historical Society of Missouri (SHSMO) in July 2017. Eddleman has produced an entire video series on conducting genealogical research for the SHSMO, which can be found on their website. |

LaDonna Garner, M.A., is an Historic Consultant — Professional Genealogist & Historic Preservationist— focused on historical preservation and genealogical research in and outside Southeast Missouri. She often lectures on both subjects at conferences, society events, and colleges. She also offers in-person/online courses and one-on-one consultations. Garner is an active member of the Association of Professional Genealogists and assists numerous organizations in various volunteer and leadership capacities. Garner’s current projects regard reenacting and rediscovering forgotten communities and cemetery preservation for a greater understanding of people, places, and cultural heritage. |

Pat Stamm served as a professional genealogical researcher for over 30 years. Currently, she is a genealogical instructor for St. Louis Community College and the Institute of Genealogy and Historical Research. Pat also lectures and teaches across the country. Her memberships include a life member of St. Louis Genealogical Society, National Genealogical Society, Missouri State Genealogical Society, Missouri Historical Society, and the Friends of the Missouri State Archives. |

Patti Lee Hobbs, a Certified Genealogist since 2014, holds a bachelor’s degree in biology which facilitated an easy transition to using DNA testing as an additional research tool. Patti serves on the editorial board for the National Genealogical Society Quarterly and is a former trustee of the Board for Certification of Genealogists and BCG Education Fund. She also is the current president and long-time Education Committee chair for the Ozarks Genealogical Society. Patti’s articles have been published in the National Genealogical Society Quarterly, and she is a contributing author of “Advanced Genetic Genealogy: Techniques and Case Studies.” |
